New Year, New Things!

It's a new year! First of all, the Children’s Advocacy Center: The Emmy Haney House would like to say thank you for all your support in 2022. The CAC appreciates every donor, volunteer, and employee that helped to aid in our mission to provide victims of child abuse with the help, hope, and healing they deserve.

In 2022, the CAC provided services to over 887 children. Employees at the CAC worked hard to ensure that children received quality services every day. Our forensic interviewers performed 492 forensic interviews. Our Pediatric SANE Nurse Practitioner performed 162 medical examinations. Our therapists provided 520 therapy sessions. Our family advocates provided 475 caregivers and 470 children with services. Our prevention education coordinator provided 5,000 children and 2,000 adults in our community with trainings on recognizing and reporting child abuse. The CAC would like to recognize all of their hard work this year! Click here to see the full breakdown of clients served in 2022.

In 2023 the CAC is ready to continue our work! CAC is incredibly excited to welcome Stephani Brown, Hamilton County ADA, to the CAC office building. Stephani is a child abuse-specific ADA housed in the CAC office building to help with the legal and prosecution processes of child abuse cases in Hamilton County. The CAC also has several exciting things coming up this year! Child Abuse Awareness Month, FORe the KIDS, newly updated prevention trainings, and so much more! Keep an eye out for the Newsletter every month and our social media to stay in the loop for 2023! Tell your friends, family, neighbor, and even your cousin’s brother’s sister’s dog walker to subscribe or follow us! The more people know about the CAC, the more you HELP US, HELP KIDS.
