| | Make Change this Giving Tuesday! Fall and Winter seasons bring holidays, families, giving, and gratefulness! CAC celebrates #GivingTuesday, a global generosity movement created to unleash the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world! This year for #GivingTuesday, the CAC would like to highlight our new giving program #ChangeMakers! Sign up to be a #ChangeMaker today on our website! This program allows you to link a card number to your account, and every time you swipe your card, your total is rounded up to the next dollar amount! You can set a monthly giving cap, so you never donate more than you feel comfortable with! If your cap is set at a $20 limit once your change adds up to $20, your card will not be charged again until the following month. We think spare change COUNTS. #Changemakers can help children and families by helping to prevent sexual abuse in our community. All proceeds from #ChangeMaker will go towards Prevention Education Programs. Just last year, over 7,000 kids and adults received training from the CAC. The CAC invites you to become a #ChangeMaker.  | Talk to your kids: Consent Thanksgiving is the time of year we gather with our families and celebrate what we are thankful for. Families gather from near and far, familiar faces and some that we only get to see during these special times. Though this makes for an exciting time, it also makes for the perfect opportunity to start a conversation about consent.
Hugs are a safe touch and are often encouraged out of politeness during the holidays. But, encouraging kids to hug family members they may not know so well can teach them the wrong idea about consent and their body boundaries.
